Bucket list

Recently, I read an article about something called the 80-20 rule or Vilfredo Pareto‘s “Pareto Principle” or the 80-20 rule. It is a relatively simple rule that actually when you think about it makes a lot of sense:

20% of people make 80% of the world’s income.
Microsoft found that by fixing the top 20% of most reported bugs, 80% of all problems were fixed.
In the United States, 20% of health patients use 80% of health care resources.

20% of your time spent gets 80% of the results done (at work, school, etc)

If you applied this rule to your life just imagine how much time you would have left to do more interesting things..I guess the point is to think about how much time do you waste?

  • Too much time on Facebook?
  • Wasting time watching television?
  • Checking your smartphone every five seconds?
  • Spending every minute of free time in the pub?

All things that I can happily say that I don’t do too much of. However, I still spend too much time procrastinating and not enough time being productive. The solution? Well, to make sure that I am keeping on track I though about some of the things that I would like to do, or achieve, in the next few years and this is what I came up with:
